Board Advisor Johnny F. Farris ll
Johnny F. Farris II is a mission‑driven professional dedicated to strengthening the connection between veterans, their families, and the communities and organizations that serve them. A United States Air Force Veteran, Johnny brings a powerful blend of lived experience, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to ensuring veterans receive the benefits, support, and opportunities they have earned.
After completing his service in the Air Force, Johnny transitioned his skills in logistics, program coordination, and operational planning into the nonprofit and veteran‑support sectors. His work is grounded in a core belief: supporting veterans goes far beyond hiring—it requires building systems that ensure veterans and their families are fully connected to resources that promote long‑term stability, wellness, and success.
Johnny has contributed to nationally recognized organizations such as Blue Star Families and Operation New Uniform, where he helped expand access, awareness, and community engagement for military families. Through his current work with BlueStar Connect Outdoors, he continues to build programs that promote healing, connection, and well‑being through outdoor experiences.
He is also the founder of Veteran Integration Partners, an initiative designed to help companies move beyond veteran hiring and toward true veteran empowerment. Through this work, Johnny helps organizations understand the unique needs of their veteran workforce and develop strategies that support retention, mental health, and long‑term career success.
Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work at Walden University, Johnny is committed to breaking down barriers—especially around mental health—and creating spaces where veterans, particularly men of color, feel seen, supported, and understood. His academic and professional paths reflect his dedication to trauma‑informed care, equitable access, and community‑centered support.
Johnny’s passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to veteran advocacy make him a powerful asset to GPS4VETS and to the broader veteran community. He is driven by service, fueled by purpose, and dedicated to building stronger, more inclusive pathways for those who have worn the uniform.
