Lisa Hughes is a dedicated entrepreneur, self-employed hairstylist, and creative business owner with more than 34 years of experience in the beauty industry. Throughout her career, she has built lasting relationships with clients through her passion, professionalism, and commitment to helping others look and feel their best. Her strong work ethic and love for creativity have also led her to expand into the world of custom apparel printing through her business, Blackwater Reef Apparel, where she creates custom printed apparel and continues growing her brand with creativity and passion.
Inspired by her father, an Air Force veteran, Lisa developed a deep appreciation for service, community, and giving back. She is also proud to share her life with her boyfriend, who is a veteran as well, further strengthening her connection to the military community and the values of dedication, sacrifice, and service. Because of these influences, Lisa became involved in volunteering with a nonprofit organization, where she enjoys supporting meaningful causes and connecting with others in her community. Her passion for helping people extends beyond business and into every part of her life.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family, who mean everything to her. She is the proud mother of two grown children and treasures every opportunity to create memories with loved ones. In her free time, she loves fishing, relaxing at the beach, and enjoying anything that brings family and friends together. With decades of experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a heart for service, Lisa continues to build a life and career centered around creativity, community, and family.
